Who’s Daniel McInerny–and Why?

My name is Daniel McInerny and I’m your master of the revels.

I am a native of South Bend, Indiana, and hold a degree in English from the University of Notre Dame (’86).

Later on I fell in with a bad crowd and before I knew it I had earned a PhD in philosophy from The Catholic University of America (’94).

After finishing my doctoral studies I spent 17 years in academia, teaching and working at various universities in the United States. Throughout those years my love of literature and storytelling played a big part in my teaching and research.

I now write fiction for adults as well as children (for the latter, see kingdomofpatria.com), and serve as the editor of the English edition of Aleteia. My wife Amy and I live in Virginia with our three children.

If you have any questions, comments, or simply want to say hello, please contact me at daniel@thecomicmuse.com.

I would love to hear from you.

P.S. Here’s one of my treasures. Probably the only photo left in existence in which Picasso and I appear together…
