It is full of Christological images. (The universal blood donor, the quest for redemption, the pilgrimage in the dessert, etc.)
The other great movie is Ex-Machina. This movie is a Nietzsche’s vision of the Genesis. The idea of the creator in the garden of Eden, complemented by what I think is Hidegger’s philosophy. ]]>

Reading lately?
The Bureau of Myths — which I’m already sorry is only a short story, but I am enjoying it so much I’m actually laughing out loud.
Keep writing, Dan!
God bless your good work,

Comment on Don’t Just Pick Yourself, Pick Your Tradition by Mikaela D'Eigh /art-and-culture/dont-just-pick-pick-tradition/#comment-10543 Wed, 18 Feb 2015 13:43:28 +0000 /?p=2644#comment-10543 Daniel, this was absolutely fabulous and so helpful. Creating a community of writers/artists who support and encourage each other is so crucial in today’s virtual environment. Some of my best writing has come after simply being around other writers, sharing our thoughts and ideas.

Water Street is a great place to do this – as a writer, I feel safe and supported there. 😉

You may also be interested to know there’s a new writers’ circle developing in NoVa ~ via a closed group on Facebook, writers can post where and when they’ll be at a certain coffee shop (or other venue) and other writers can meet up with them to brainstorm and then just write. It’s invitation only so as to protect privacy and safety of the members (especially the female members). If you’re interested, I can send you the info.

Thanks again for this! Hope you can lead a hands-on workshop at Water Street in the near future!
